8 Lessons from Baahubali 2 for all Leaders:

Baahubali 2 lesson for the leaders

Baahubali 2 Lessons for the Leaders

8 lessons from Baahubali 2 the movie which has set new records now are just a few of them which can be learned by the leaders.

It was tea time on a lovely Saturday, and we at home craved for a cup where I was happily intimated by our maid, ” chai Patti khatam Hai ( there was no tea dust in the tea jar).
So I thought to take a walk down the street in a spirited way to grab a tea packet, where just outside I saw the magnanimous poster of Bahubali 2 (The Movie in Focus) which prompted me to think about it for a while..
With Bahubali, the highest grossing cinema which infact has created history, I was trying to solve the jigsaw to see what was so special about the picture which made it create that history.
Now since the thoughts have a potential to travel faster than the speed of light I tried recollecting the scenes of the movie in a stream which made me pause at these specific scenes to admire them to gain quite a bit of knowledge out of the true block buster by S S Rajamouli starer Prabhas as “Bahubali”
We perceive a lot of negativity these days, however the achievement of this movie made me realize there is still a lot of positivity hidden amongst the people who feel good and admire good deeds projected in any way. It can be done directly by helping others or may it be just a great depiction of it in the form of the movie series, “Bahubali” where the suitor of the Throne (Bahubali) is all about being a true leader, talented, honest and composed to his core to serve his land and the fellow citizens of it.
Some true highlights of the greatness which have added the stars to the movie are depicted in the observations below:

1- Your orientation towards your people and team – Be empathetic to people :

People Orientation

People Orientation

Empathy is a core trait to connect with others. It’s a natural tendency to open up to people who tend to listen to what you have to say, that doesn’t come handy though.
The sense of being heard invites that openness and the willingness to speak out one’s true feelings.
Empathy is directly proportional to openness and in turn your acceptance by others to be a true leader to whom one can speak out and seek for resolutions.

2- Take a tour of your Kingdom-You need to get on the streets to know the ground realities :

Tour of your Kingdom

Tour of your Kingdom

However beautiful your surroundings might be, the ground realities and vital developments are made with feet’s on the ground. With the feet on ground and getting down street gives you a fair understanding of the issues and live scenarios which might be vital to be taken care of with the perspective of growing one’s business or domain.
It’s actually when we get down to do multiple stuff ourselves and figure out the activities and operations of the ourselves is when we are best informed about the all the factors which are key factors of running and managing your people.

3- Don’t boast about self by talking- Your actions should speak louder:

Your Actions Should Speak for You

Your Actions Should Speak for You

At times the action sequences based my eardrums than they did in any other Bollywood movie, but that’s not what i wanted to make out of the statement.
The statement means simple thing in simple words. You should act your thoughts and you works shall speak the greatness of your deeds. Seems to be the hard way but the way has been testified by legends and yet again was portrayed in the movie when the kingdom of princess (Devasena) was attacked, only then did Bahubali (who had been hiding his skills) stepped up to use his skills ( not to show ) to help and protect the kingdom from the Invaders ( the Pindari ) at the right time almost single handedly which was admired by all.
This again super-highlights one more key aspect of the scene.

4- Encourage  – Have an eye to identify potential in a person and encourage them to perform their best:

Recognize potential of your Team

Recognise potential of your Team

During the overall sequence of saving the kingdom there was a place where Bahubali would encourage an aspiring suitor in the kingdom of the princess who felt himself to be a weak individual,  realize his potentials and rise up to his expectations and the expectations of the kingdom to help save its citizens.
This leadership trait not just helped the other to grow, but also admire this leader (Bahubali) to be a true leader.

5- Humble and Modest – Not to prude over one’s position but to understand the responsibility being rooted to values and giving respect to other individuals:

Being Modest and Humble

Being Modest and Humble

After the over all sequence of saving the kingdom of the princess and after revealing own identity of being a prince of a kingdom 10 times bigger, he still showed love and acted with humility to other individuals who had spoken I’ll of him when not knowing his true identity.
That’s the attitude of a truly great leader who understands the loves his fellow mates and people.

6- Keep Promises – If you commit something deliver on it and don’t get biased by the opinion of someone else:

Keep Promises

Keep Promises

While returning to his own kingdom, prince ( Bahubali ) had promised to uphold the self-respect and pride of the princess at all times. On arriving in front of the assembly of his province when the mis-conception surfaced and there were tight options which required the prince to choose between the Throne to the kingdom ( by breaking his promise ) or the Princess (upholding her self-respect and the promise made), the prince choose the latter and was gracefully honoured by the people of the province for his decision.

7- Being Righteous and Being Just- Follow the right path with no fear, and fear shall gladly glide you to Glory:

Being Righteous and Being Just

Being Righteous and Being Just

We have it embossed below our national emblem for a reason and that’s the way for greatness to be,”Truth alone Triumphs”.
If the leader is righteous and honours the sanctity of truth, his people are bound to be compelled sooner or later to honour righteousness. If not then their existence becomes vulnerable among the just lot.
It remains a fact that yin-yang exist and where there is bad, there exists something good too. But a person who is a crook sometime in his life accepts the fact that being good still has a upper hand on the bad and in the end is able to settle in as a subtle realisation. Where a good and just is always upheld by the lot and always finds peace which remains the true treasure of life, the unjust person wastes a life in despise and is in reality hated by all. The best part is being just you wear a smile of pride and honour till the end of life where as the unjust leads a life of fear till the end with the fear of being unveiled.

8- Being innovative at all times- Think and work unconventionally because you need to keep improving from what you were yesterday to what you dream to achieve tomorrow and in turn lead the way by setting examples for others to follow:

Being Innovative at All Times

Being Innovative at All Times

Prince sought innovative means to make the livelihood of the people easy by analysing and making out innovative way outs to various issues. Starting from the way you break stones to use for civil works, to that of maintaining a water reserve for essential livelihood. He innovated and made machinery to help the people and set a lesser version of a miniature automation to help human needs and make their lives simpler. And one that helps address larger cause is  always acknowledged largely.
Truly infact the scenario where the few of the great aspects observed were beautifully portrayed under the direction of Mr.S.S.Rajamouli. A magnificent piece of work by him indeed to shatter many Bollywood records too..
By the time I was thinking of the credits to the team of Bahubali2, I had already got  the tea packet and was ready to hit home to sip on my awesome cup of hot tea waiting for the rains again and the Petrichor..
What experiences did you take back with you ??
Do share your experiences and learnings from the masterpiece..
