Castes of the World

Castes,the Greatest Divide on Earth:

Caste System

Castes of the world are widely accepted method of classifying a society, followed by various regions and countries of the World.

It’s a method of social stratification which segregates a specific community of people from the other and again them from some other castes. Caste system is either endogamous, hereditary or any ranked social community. It is widely seen in India since the time people and civilization existed.

The caste hierarchy segregated the society to look at people from the upper caste to be elite and of premium category. They were to he treated with respect and high class stature to that from the people of lower caste, who were considered to be inferior or outcasts to be treated as untouchables and inhuman.

However, besides this superficial and vague system of social ratification there is no other humane angle to it.

The Irony:

  • Besides segregating the society into lower and upper castes (In India), there is a fair dependency of the upper class to be fed by them. Since most of the lower and rural areas constitute to the maximum number of people associated to farming and cultivation.

  • Besides being the people of lower casts these are the people whom we most of times depend on for some of the good bureaucratic agendas to be taken care of. Because in India, there is good deal of reservation for the lower castes, though below 50% as agreed by the supreme court of india . Which states that there is a good deal of these lower castes to be on a few top class positions of the bureaucracy, who are in-turn responsible for the nations operations.

  • Besides being from lower casts, he can donate blood. And that blood is used or injected in the veins of an upper class at times of requirement. Though its done after matching the blood groups, however there is no internal rejection from the body as such.

  • The lower casts people understand the worth of life and money on gross levels, because at times they have grown out of poverty to make their own destiny, and they really do enjoy the best within their means. However the upper class who have all the mean  to live, enjoy and understand life, fail maximum times to get the real deal of it.

  • There is hardly a person who can make out if a job is done by an educated and informed lower caste or an upper caste person. Where isn’t it the work or job that we value, rather than the one who is doing it?

  • The heart beat, blood flow, human feelings, senses, hunger, sleep all are same for an upper or the lower castes.

  • At times besides being the poorest of the person in the lower caste, turns out to make greatest of the donates to a person in requirement. Where as a wealthy upper caste fails to realize it and even do so, majority of the times.

Now having said all that about the caste system, do you think there is some logic to creating such sort of a rational system which divides people from one another?

An innocent child who takes birth into this world, grows up defending a caste, a name, an ego which is bestowed on him/her by their parents all life. Without realizing what’s the value of it in reality when all who have taken birth have to die some day, and that no one is going to take back anything from this world.

The only Castes which come to my mind which divides the people or their thinking to be more precise is:

1- GOOD  &

2- BAD

Where a Good caste or segment of people are those who realizes the true worth of life, teaches and spreads compassion and love, helps others, takes initiative to create and solve, lives in harmony and with optimism. Thus a cheerful living.

However a Bad caste or segment of people are those who are just the opposite of the above. Who don’t value life, are driven by materialistic desires, are jealous of other beings, are far from love and compassion, are pessimistic and complaining always and cater to negativity of life. Thus a  stressful living.

Which caste system do you follow??
