Kids !!
And it’s all together a new feeling to step into a whole new World called, ‘parenthood’.
With time flying like a super jet, the childhood memories of our kids which makes us live our childhood all over again becomes that precious preservings, which we can never forget. Thus these memories are some of those few invaluable offerings that life has to make, which are worth a million dollars and can be lived over and over again if given a chance.
For us, can we go through a flashback to visualise a few golden moments, rather seconds worth diamonds ?
What’s that you can remember ??
Me given the wheel , I can remember a few from many moments which I would wish to hug tight and never let go what so ever..
– The moment conciousness comes to our mind and we remember the first time we called out those magical words, ” MOM ( Maa)” and “DAD (Baba)”
– Being the naughtiest of the kids we could ever be, still the childhood memories of our parents opening up their loving arms to hug us when we call out to them with love, inquisitiveness, pain or fear. The loving arms were always there to take us into their protective and caring cocoon of love.
– That first lesson from DAD to ‘walk properly’, ‘fold your hands’, do a ‘handshake’ and ‘give that flying kiss’. It instantly makes me smile again..
– The first day at school and the consoling that they would just wait out and be there till the class is over. And not to worry as it would be the quickest class that ever can be. We all know, it was just a console.
It was rather the lengthiest class of my life. But still it was so quenching to have the first sight of Mom and Dad after it.
– The feeling of friendship and that feeling to share with others. Making the best buddies out there along with sharing the tiffin, playing that football game,kabbadi,cricket, hide and seek, police and thief, making house of sands and cars of bricks, paper fans and boats, and what not..
– Festivals were never such celebration. Parents, friends, relatives to add to the fun and the aura of a heavenly pleasure of joy and fun all round with all the delicious delicacies prepared to hog on to treat our taste buds along with all the new dresses and shoes that came with each festival. Could it be any better ??
– Sharing and crazy activities with brother, sister, cousins and all the close buds.
– Growing up together with friends and going out for picnics with family and friends which were the best outings of life, and trips abroad are no match to it !!
– The classes and the exams for sure which were the dread, yet how many are out there who aren’t dying to rewind their lives to go back to those days ??
– Tution classes which were educative and rather more of the places of reunion with all friends to discuss that exciting day at school or college or to discuss the feeling of first love which might have just struck..
– Late night-outs and group studies.
– The Board exams and the results !!
– The first day at college.
– The fun revisited and propelled to maximum perpetuity during the college hostel days and doing the undone.
– Where winters were to sleep and life was to eat and drink.
– All aside, parents again were the anchor of our lives who were so strong to hold the ship of our lives in place no matter what and how turbulent life got.
– The day of marriage and stepping into a new life with a partner who was meant just for it and to be together all life ..
Wow………….. Wasn’t that a small snapshot of the complete life revisited..
Then after a whole good half phase of life, well spent and well learnt through all that life had to show and offer it’s miraculous to get a chance to revisit the same all over again.. How ??
With our Kids and to relive the childhood memories, which were almost lost but yet not re-discoverable through our kids .
Again a whole new world of pleasure and happiness redefined with :
– The day a kid is born in your family.
– The pleasure of being a proud parent and holding that pride (kid) in your hands with the utmost care that you would have ever taken to touch anyone before in this world.
– The pleasure to feel your kid hold your finger.
– The tears of love to see your kid look into your eyes and give that first smile.
– The way your kid sleeps, wakes, smiles, turns sides, moves and all that you might feel but are inexpressible in words.
– The day your kid starts to baby crawl.
– The day of first step to walk.
– The giggles and the love with which your kids rushes to you at a mere sight of you.
– The way your kid cuddles.
All this and then remapping it to the life of ours above where we remember speaking out MOM and DAD for the first time and here it again feels so magical to listen it back from your own kid.
Isn’t it truly an amazing feeling ??
And then the life of yours sees its progression through the life of your kid and you tend to re-live your life all over again where you wake, smile, eat, play, love, care, teach, sleep and all that you do with your kid, being a kid yourself all over again.
