Apple AirPods 2 Vs AirPods Pro: Pro’s , Con’s and the Ultimate Choice !
What are the major differences between the two versions of Apple AirPods , what are the pro’s and con’s and ultimately which one should you go for !
These are a few things that this tech post would be focusing upon.
Also if you own a pair of AirPods, this article should make it clear for you, whether or not should you upgrade to the pro version.
Let’s check the latest one : The AirPods Pro (New pony)
Price: 250$
Wireless charging case: Yes. However you also get the lightening charging connector.
Design: Boxy but compact magnetic case
Sensors: Force censors instead of touch sensors with H1 chip. As a result it works the functions with presses rather than taps.
Noise cancellation : Yes and it also comes with 2 other modes
Charing: Wired (via lightening cable) and wireless
Design: In ear, silicon ear tips (better contact and stability). As a result it offers better grip and fit.
Air equalizer: Yes
Audio: Comparabile to airbuds 2, and the audio along with noise cancellation on is excellent. However, with the transparency mode it allows the ambient sound to be alert about your surrounds as well.
Bluetooth: 5.0
Battery : 4.5 hrs with noise cancellation turned on & the charging case gives you a couple of charges with ease (19-20 hrs more)
Cons:
No Volume Control
These are not audiophile grade
Not the perfect headphone for flying
And wouldn’t be recommended for workout as well
A little pricy
Dictum: Its a premium pair of earphone definitely best in the apple range. And the convenience with apple is awesome. However, there are other options out there in the market which offer even more customizability and better battery life. Great for everyday use.

AirPods 2: (Old but Gold)
Wireless charging case: Yes (however it is optional for buying for $79 separately or buy it together for $199 or $159 forth wired version)
The Design: Boxy but compact magnetic case. Secondly, it’s also smaller than the AirPods Pro
The Sensors: Touch censors which work with tap H1 chip. As a result the connectivity and convenience is better than the older version.
The Charing: Wired / wireless (optional)
The Design: In ear without air plugs ( as a result it might not be a great fit for all ear types)
The Audio: Very Good and comparable to the AirPods pro as well
Battery-life : 3 hrs with single full charge. However, the charging case gives you a couple of charges with ease.
Bluetooth connectivity: Comes along with 5.0
Water resistant: Sweat resistant
Cons:
Absence of volume control. However, Siri voice control does the job for you
The noise cancellation feature isn’t there.
No air equalizer. However, you might not feel the need of it in absence of the ear plugs
Not audiophile grade. However, the audio quality is good.
Not the perfect headphone for flying. Although, a great audio companion for your apple devices.
Though it’s sweat resistant, due to it’s plastic body it’s not the perfect one for workout
Dictum: It’s a great pair of earphone. As a result, it’s a wonderful companion for the audio if you are heading out on a trip or working in the office with good quality microphone and also the music quality which is great. However, it might not be the best though.

Which one should you get for yourself?
If you are looking for the best of apple, with best sound, not worried about the budget, as well as more customizable options such as noise cancellation and in-ear plugs, then I would suggest the AirPods Pro which would be your best companion.
Else, the AirPods 2 solve most of your needs with good sound quality, though they don’t come with the noise cancellation feature. But the audio quality is still good and also a single charge can give you 24 hrs of audio which is still great.
Now if you have AirPods 2 should you upgrade to the pro??
I personaly don’t see a very dire need to do so unless you are are a fan of the noise cancelling thing. Moreover, the AirPods 2 anyway are a great pair of earphones to keep using and the most sold EarPods by apple as yet.
However, if you are bored and upgrading to a new iPhone, then a pro might just match the upgrade to flaunt the premium move.
